Marion Village Girls

Information:

I drive up and down Marion Road a fair bit, and I've always been intrigued by a small statue of a girl looking into a well. I decided I'd head up there and actually have a walk around, and was pleasantly surprised to discover that this was part of an 'historic village' display around the original farm settlement in Marion.

Almost all of the land has now been built on, but a few of the old buildings from the original settlement still exist. As I wandered around, I found a fair few information plaques around, clearly marked with some paving around them so you could spot them from a distance and walk up to them.

I also found three other girls around the 'village' - there may be more, because one of the ones I did find was tucked away down a side street.
